(OSCEOLA, IA – MAY 26, 2021) Osceola Water Works continually strives to provide safe, quality water to the customers they serve. In an effort to continue effectively and safely serving their customers, OWW will be transitioning to a new billing structure that will include a rate increase to not only allow the department to budget for necessary upkeep, repairs and improvements, but also make calculation and payment of future bills easier.
Starting July 1, 2021, OWW customers will see the new billing structure. With the new flat-rate structure, the average residential customer will only see an increase of a few dollars each month.
Effective July 1, 2021
Residential (All Gallons): $8.68/thousand gallons (flat rate)
Commercial (0-50,000 Gallons): $9.00/thousand gallons
Commercial (All gallons above 50,000): $6.50/thousand
Industrial (All Gallons): $5.47 /thousand gallons
Bulk Water (All Gallons): $11.26/thousand gallons
“We are dedicated to providing safe, clean, quality water to our customers,” said Brandon Patterson, Osceola Water Works Water Superintendent. “After the challenges of 2020, this rate change will ensure that we can continue the projects we committed to and move forward with the necessary improvements and updates to better serve the residents of Osceola.”
