WEST LAKE LEVEL MILESTONES:
- Normal pool elevation for West Lake is 1,072 MSL.
- On December 8th, 2023, water levels in Osceola’s West Lake measured approximately 1,065.46 feet above MSL.
OWW and City ask the community to consider bottled water as conservation measure. - When levels reach less than 1,063 above MSL, bottled water will be distributed and Osceola’s Mayor will be asked to issue an Emergency Proclamation.
- When lake levels reach less than 1,060 above MSL, Clarke Emergency Management Association will request assistance from the State.
- The new, modified level for the lower intake is at 1,056 above MSL. Once levels reach 1,056, the lower intake modification will be removed to access raw water supply down to the original intake at 1,052 feet above MSL.
Due to water quality at these levels (between 1,056 and 1,052 feet above MSL) water drawn can only be used in emergency situations like fire suppression.
